RE: Query about the Bluecard process at Ausländerbehörde in Berlin

Toggle
Hi All,

I have received a long term visa for me (Eployment) and my wife (Reunion) to travel to Germany. The next step is to apply for the Blue card and temporary residency permits for us when we reach Germany. We have an appointment at Ausländerbehörde in early December for this purpose.

Can anyone tell me the exact procedure for this (couldn't find it anywhere else on the forum)? Is the residency permit given the same day when we go to the foreign office or does it come later? How much is the processing time?

Thanks,
Rahul

Not sure about Berlin but I found this link (page 4) helpful if someone is looking for the Aufenthaltsgenehmigung process in Munich.
