Hello all,
I had posted a few days back in the Forum about applying for work permit for my wife. I am here on a student visa for 9 months and my wife is on dependent visa. On the residence permit it "Beschäftigung nur mit genehmigung der Ausländerbehörde gestattet" is stated. Earlier on the temporary visa "Erwerbstätigkeit nicht gestattet" was stated. She has 5 year of IT experience (which I think comes in the highly skilled jobs category). She has got a job offer in Berlin and based on that contract we have applied for work permit at the Ausländerbehörde. They told us that they do not know if she can apply for the work permit so they have mailed the ministry. They said they will email us when the reply comes. Now it has been more than one month and they have not replied. Even the employer has called them 2 times.
Can someone advice what we should do?
