Urgent: Work Permit - Damaged Passport
Hi Friends,
My passport was damaged by rain 2 days back. Everything is fine with the first and last page of the passport. But my student visa is a little damaged.
Now, I wanna apply work permit. Should i get a duplicate passport or its fine with my old damaged passport?
How long will it take to receive, if i apply for a damaged passport?. I want to go in person to the Indian Consulate.
Please help me.Thank you.

Contact your nearest Indian consulate and they can provide the best information.
AFAIK ABH shouldn't bother you too much with your old Visas, but eventually you would need to apply for an alternate passport and get the Work Permit transferred on to the new passport , otherwise you are the discretion of the officers at the port of entry.

usually 4 weeks.
2 months back I applied for new passport at Munich consulate and got my new passport in four weeks.
I had very good experience at Munich consulate, guys working there are good.
