Spouse workpermit for research job

Hallo,

My wife from india, who holds a Phd ,will come to germany on Dependant visa.I have a limited residence pemit with BE and will get NE in 9 months.

She wants to do a postdoc in a university in Germany. Can she apply for work permit for a research position although she is a dependant ?
I read that getting work permit for university position is relatively easy when compared to other full time jobs . Can anybody give some more information on this topic ?
