GC to Selbstaetig

Hello All Experts,

I am in germany from July 2003 on GC and working for one company since then. I want to start my own company / or do some freelancing work from July 2008. My NE is also expected in August 2008.
I would like to know, what are the necessary steps to become Freelancer from GC ?

Please use the search function first and if you don't find an answer which suits your needs, then post your question.
I'm not trying to be rude, but I think that nearly 80% of the questions that can be related to the GC's everyday life have already been answered on this forum and that was the reason why we asked Detleft to build and improve the search function.
