Hi all,

Currently I am having BE, and elegible for NE as I have paid pension for 60 months.

I have following questions

1) If I can get NE with some EU options(I heard from some friend), can I work in swiss?

OR Do I need to file for new work permit in Swiss.

2) How much time it takes to process NE ?

3) What about German language requirment for NE ?

Re: Can with NE I can work in Swiss

No you need swiss work permit to work there. Even if you had german nationality there are restrictions on how many non-swiss EU-citizens can work in switzerland. Switzerland is like an island in europe, totally isolated.

Re: Can with NE I can work in Swiss

Hi,

I have been offered a specialist position that I believe could make me eligible for NE before entering germany.

In order for me to understand what exactly this NE Is all about, In line with the above question, If i am granted a NE in germany would the NE entitle me to work in other EU countries without any additional visas/Workpermits for example say in sweden, austria, netherlands etc ( ofcourse swiss, norway and other EC not included)

Thank you & looking forward for your kind replies.

Regards,
Ram

Re: Can with NE I can work in Swiss

Hi Ram Reddy,
first of all, Congratulations on your job in Germany. Sorry for deviating from your question, I'm trying to get more info related to work permit in germany. Did u get ur work permit already from employer? How does it work? I mean, how long will it take to get the work permit from employer (for all the employment related stuff from their employment agency) and if u know, how much it could cost to the employer for work permit. I'm also talking to the germany employer for a position in Nuremberg so thought to check with u on it. By the way, I'm working as IT manager in India now and have been looking for opportunities in Europe. How about Denmark for IT jobs? Thanks and I really appreciate your patience and help in this regard.
Thanks, Sridhar
