20-jähriger Inder stirbt in Abschiebehaft

Ein 20-jähriger Inder ist in Österreich während eines Hungerstreiks in Abschiebehaft gestorben. Der junge Mann war seit Anfang August in Gewahrsam und verweigerte seit mehr als einem Monat die Nahrungsaufnahme, berichtete die österreichische Nachrichtenagentur APA. „Nach derzeitigen ärztlichen Erkenntnissen konnte kein offensichtlicher Zusammenhang zwischen Hungerstreik und Todesursache gefunden werden“, hieß es laut APA in einer Polizeimitteilung.

In india, everyday thousands of people die like flies and you never cared, why do you care now if he died in Austria?

hey, first you do not know if he cares about it or not.

I didn't want to post in this thread but I hear such excuses everywhere in India especially from politicians and find it really unfortunate. If there are 10 bad things and someone highlights one of them then many start raising their fingers, make improvements in other 9 first. This way you can not start at all. It is like Govenment should not spend money for polio vaccination because what about 1000 of indians dying due to AIDS.

Not a good news. Regardless how many Indians lose their lives every year due to hunger unfortunatley one of them lost his life in prison. I do agree with Raj and others, that people are discouraged from doing such things.
