NE Extension - Success
Dear Friends,
Just to let you know that I managed to get an extension of NE for 2 years. I am leaving Germany for more than 6 months . Would say it really depends on the officer and if you have strong reasons , it should work out. If you need more info with which I can help, please feel free to contact me.
Just passing on this info which should be useful for anyone pondering with a similar situation.

51(1) Nr.7 Aufenthaltsgesetz vom 05.08.2004 (Aufenthaltstitel erlischt nicht bei Ausreise).
Also, it will greatly help to take a letter from the company + an own letter , explaining your circumstances to leave Germany for some time.

Well, I will see what I can do, I'm my own company and I've postponed my application for citizenship for business reason so I'll see what they can come up with.

Well, reasons vary by person. In my case , there are some personal issues which I need to take care. Whatever reason you give, it should convince the officer that it is not possible to take care of the issues from Germany momentarily.

So should I understand this as -> the officers might not follow the rulebooks if you can convince them properly? I always had an impression that these visa timelines can never be extended. So I am pleasantly surprised....

Is it that a visa - work permit cus resident permit like NE or BE indicates limited period of stay for example 5 years. After that is it that one must leave Germany, in that case he/she will loose the current job.
OR the visa NE or BE can always be extended in the process by which one can apply for citizenship and can stay in DE till he/she works.
