Hello,
This is concerning to my Income tax refund for the year 2003.
I got married, Nov the 3rd 2003 and my wife landed in Germany, 24th of Dec 2003. I have changed my tax clause (Steuer Klasse from 1 to 3 on 1st of March 2004).
Few of my colleagues are telling me that my TAX CLAUSE will be considered as 3 for the whole of financial year 2003 and 2004 (Jan and Feb 2004) as my wife landed here on 24th of Dec 2003.
Any one have come across such a situation in this Forum ?.
Will it be possible for me to get the Tax refund from Finanz Amt when i file my tax return for 2003 ?.
Could some one kindly give me more inputs in this regard....

Hi,
That is true. The whole year will be considered as Tax Klasse 3 and you will get back good returns.
I know this through one of my colleagues who was in the same similar Situation.
