Got Deutsch Citizenship
Hello All,
On last Friday I got German citizenship. It took exactly 5 weeks after submitting my application with all the required papers.
I have been living in Germany for almost 7 years - 4.5 years for study, 2.5 years with job.

Is there a speical format for this Lebenslauf? or is it just usual Lebenslauf when applying for jobs?

it was not like the one for job. it is a brief lebenslauf. Mine was 1 page.
i have written the following information in my lebenslauf:
Name, father's name, mother's name, date of birth, place of birth, current nationality, education, job history (only the names of the companies and time), hobbys.
Those are just an example for my case. I think there is no specific format for this. Main point is that you have written there something about yourself!

Greetings,
I have the following
- Daueraufenthalt EG + Niederlassungserlaubnis
- "Zertifikat Deutsch"
- 6 years in Germany - working all the time
- read/speak/write German without any issues(fluent)
What else do I need to apply for citizenship?

i think you can go to your Einbürberungsamt to talk if you can apply now. If they agree that you are well integrated, then 6 years should be okay.

In my case it took 19 or 20 days (less than 3 weeks)to get the citizenship (that was one year ago)...so i guess in some cases they are really quick

gc has got it in less than 3 weeks. it could be possible.
from my experience i can say that Einbürgerungsamt guys are much better, friendly and efficient than our long-beloved Auslanderbehörde guys!!!

I have one question to you and also to others:
you told that orientation course took 5 days. What were the the contents of this orientaion course? Just few highlights about this course please ?
I have the following situation:
I am not very fluent in German language but can manage talking to some points and have been in Germany since 6 years (4 as full time working with GC visa + 2 years study). Am I eligible for German Citizenship if I do this orientaion course only?
I will appreciate for your answer.

It is very easy course if you understand german.
It deals with
1. History (how germany came into existence, worldwar etc etc)
2. Politics (Parties in germany, their philosophy etc)
3. Culture

No. You are eligible for 7 years rule if you provide Integration Course certificate(Zertifikat Deutsch + Orientierung course)

Hi mk,
congratulations for your DE citizenship.
However it is really a very short time. In Hessen for example it takes 6-9 Months to get an answer.
So for me it is still very difficult to belive that in other parts of Germany you get the citizenship faster the NE or a normal GC.
