Good news ?- Immigration law!!

Hi Leute

Yesterday night, about 1 am I heard something about Immigration law.

I have checked this morning and I found this:

Meine Deutschprache ist noch nicht gut, but I would like to receive some opinions about this maybe from the experts of the Forum (anybody says Detlef / Jens?).

It sounds to me like a little bit of pressure from Bundesregierung to the opposition isn´t it?

Hi Yo,

yes these news are old and they are from the government side, so it does not say too much.

But the Zuwanderungsgesetz is still in the Vermittlungsausschuss and I still believe, that there will be a compromise. We can aspect the decision in December. At the moment you will not find much about this topic in the papers, because there are other themes, which are much more important (from the German point of view), like 'Steuerreform' and 'Rentenreform' and 'Arbeitsmarktreform'. All this will also be decided in the 'Vermittlungsausschuss.

At the 18th of December we will know more.

is ist a coincidende? the decision of the bundesverfassungsgericht was taken on 18.12.2002.
I hope the new 18th December will bring better news for us.

Abwarten und Tee trinken

Hi, YO, Anis & Detlef!

First of all: congratulations to Detlef and Manuel for
that great "sight"!

Anis: thanx for your link. It seems to be very useful.
I havn`t known it before...

YO: not really new I can`t imagine that we will get somewhere actual informations about the political discussions behind the scenes. That means for us: "abwarten und Tee trinken" (let`s wait and see), as the Germans say.
YO: thanx for your positive e-mail concerning the FAQ!

ALL: the English version of the FAQ will come soon (I hope at the weekend).
