Appointment for Einbürgerung/Citizenship
Dear Friends,
I have got an apppointment for submitting my application for eninbürgerung. I have already completed 7 years.
Could you please help me with the following:
1.What kind of discussion(Questions) takes place during this document submitting process?
2.How should I prepare for this meeting?

Hi Serene,
My time for einbürgerüng is getting closer too. Could you tell us when exactly have you applied for the 7 years einbürgerüng? Have you done the ZD as language proof? What about the orientirungskurs?
If you got ZD there is need for language test anymore.....
In which Land have you applied?

What I really want to know is: If they try to drill you down to know why you want to become german and try to assess your speaking skills
or
they have nothing to do with such issues and just collect the papers?

From my experience....
I went there and had a normal speaking. On German language.
They took the documents and told me to wait.
It was all nice and polite. Nothing special happened.
Just relax and be as you are. Goad has its own ways and will be with you.

Hi,
is it mandatory to submit B1 certificate (people who is living more than 8 years)?
is it possible to take the einbürgerung test without having any official request from ABH?

It is very much mandatory to submit B1 or equivalent to prove your language proficiency. There are other possible ways you can prove your German skills too, like if you have attended a German school and received a degree or diploma.
You can take EB Test without any explicit request form ABH. You just have to go to your nearest VHS and look for the next available test.

You don't have to worry about any questions when you go to submit your application. It used to be the case with EB before that the caseworker had an enormous power to decide if your language skills were enough. But not anymore, with the new framework, mostly everything is very well defined and hence no one single person can decide the outcome of the process.

Hi,
I have applied for Einbürgerung in person in Munich.
Can you please let me know when does one recieve the first ever letter(ack) or some form of communication from the beamte's office. I have applied on Jan 19th and havent heard from them so far. I am expecting some kind of a acknowledgment letter stating that I have already applied.
