Is it possible "Set up GmbH and get residency"?
Hi,
I have contacted one of the reputed law firm in Germany. He informed me that I can get Residency Permit with my wife if I will set up my own GmbH.
Is is really possible ?

Yes it is possible (AufenthG §21) if you spend 250K€ and create 5 work places.

The company must be a genuine one with a firm business plan.

Unless you're serious about doing business in Germany, I will not recommend this.
This regulation which allows individuals to obtain residence permit has been abused by many people from a certain country many years ago. And basically they stopped it about 2 years ago.
The process to obtain the "green light" takes a quite long time, but the most important is the salary which has to be paid to the minimum number of employees is a large amount of money.
However you won't need to worry if you're doing anything incorrectly because the government institution, Ordnungsamt, Finanzamt etc will watch you closely all the time.

Anyways, I think that it is a bit difficult for me to get residence permit.
Is there any other way for getting residence permit either in Germany of any other Schengen State ?
