AE verlängerung

Hi Folks,

I got an AE last year after completing my studies which was valid for one year.Its a normal work permit (No GC) and is company-bound. You guys were real helpful in feeding me with info the last time, so I'm back for more I need to renew this AE soon, so here are a few questions:-

1.Will the ArbeitsMarktPrüfung (AMP) be done again to check if there's a EU person to fit my shoes or will it be waived? I read somewhere that if my contract is not time-bound(gem. § 6 BeschVerfV ), they should not do the AMP - is this true? I have an unbefristet Arbeitsvertrag and the conditions have not changed.

2. For how long will my AE be extended? Can I ask for a BE now and make it non-company bound? I'm in Baden-Württemberg and have been in D.land more than 3 years (incl. time spent as student). I should however check up my RV payouts (36 months, i might be a few months short here).

3.Are there any new documents that I need to take along with me to the ABH?

Has anyone else with similar conditions renewed his/her permit? It would be nice to share experiences.

Any other additional info is also welcome!

i think you can make your extension in march since you're not available here in april - just talk to ABH about it.

btw where are you based - bayern/BW??

Well in my opinion, good news for you.

If you are still in the same company and you plan to continue working there you won't suffer any other AMC.

You need to carry with you: last three payslips, your pass and surely a paper from your company where says "Mr Tiefweiss still work with us. He has not been fired and he have not quitted" . If your boss is a very good man, he can add "we would like mr Tiefweiss keep working with us" to convince better to the Beamter and maybe you receive a longer time visa.

The maximum time you will receive only God knows. In some cases is one year at the beginning and later the 4 years in one pack. I received two years, later another two years but in the middle I've changed my visa.

I don't think you can get a BE but you can always ask. In some places (I think BW) the student time is not considered.
