Work Permit for Austria

Dear Friends,

Could anyone please suggest if it is possible to get my BE work permit in Germany converted to a work permit valid for EU. If yes, then what's the procedure?

I might have to work in a long-running project in Vienna, but as I believe, my present BE in Germany doesn't allow me to do so. It will be of real help for me if I have some advice from this pool of experts.
