work permit :: degree requirement
Hi all,
I am Indian & I have secured job at Germany Frankfurt am Main in game development after facing on site interview. I have 8 year's experience in game (art) development.
Further my employer has asked for my education documents either degree diploma or anything else which I have. I send them my diploma (in computer graphics & animation), which I have done form private institute. everything went well & they send me unlimited employment contract for employment visa process.
Over here local German consulate has accepted my application & told me processing time will be form 6 to 12 weeks.
Now my query is I don't have degree , I have only diploma in animation & computer graphics, can I get Employment Visa residence permit on my diploma ?Or university Degree is the only thing can make me eligible for Employment Visa?
Thanks in advance,
Dave

Re: work permit :: degree requirement
It should not be a problem. But how much salary are they offering you? If you get salary below the market rate, your application will be rejected

Re: work permit :: degree requirement
It was possible to discontinue the studies and take employement. am not sure it is still the case.
The workpermit has to be applied by your company. Necessary information is available through the following link
http://www.arbeits...merkblaetter-nav.html
So if your workpermit is issued, they will cancel your student visa and stamp a new permit in your passport. If rejected, then continue with your studies and then apply for another workpermit(easier this time as you finished your studies in germany)

Re: work permit :: degree requirement
oh great,
I came across this links...
http://www.jungewelt.de/2011/11-08/040.php
http://www.rediff....ountries/20111107.htm
which Shows
The leaders of Chancellor Angela Merkel's Christian Democratic Union (CDU) and its coalition partners decided at a meeting here last night that the minimum annual salary needed by a non-EU national to take up an employment in the country will be reduced from 66,000 euros to 48,000 euros.
Well any though for all this raj??
