Re: visa for spouse

I think you can. But speak with the co-ordinator of the university about it. They will have some information about how to go with it.

Re: visa for spouse

yes you can..!! I did this some years before(well 8 years before ).

You need to provide financial guarantee. But check again with the university. The University normally has family accommodations.

But still just do not day dream yet as in my case it was that golden time (2000) !!

Good Luck with your application!!

Re: visa for spouse

I know some of my classmates in MSc. here living with their wife. Its back in 2003-2004.

Still I remember that my friend brought his wife after he arrived here.

The best person to answer/help regarding this are
1) Secretary to your Course/Professor
2) People at the University's international office /Akademische Auslandsamt.

If you haven't heard about the AAA (Akademische Auslandsamt) better know them first. They are the most helpful in the University (in my experience)

Re: visa for spouse

Thanks to dear raj and prabath for kind help.
I didn't contact AAA on this matter.
I applied at 03/08/08 and still have no visa yet.
There was a lot of hassle to submit my application at the embassy since my scholarship is from EU not from the university and I mailed to the AAA a lot. That's why I am quite hesitant to contact now.

I was thinking that can I send my wife Verpflichtungserklärung on the first month I arrive or will have to wait?
Thank you for further help.
