NICOP and Pakistani Visa

Hi All,
I am holding NICOP card and recently I got German nationality. Can any from Pakistan confirm that my NICOP card will be accepted as visa or I need visa on my German passport. In card it is written that I am eligible visa free entry to pakistan, but still better to confirm. Did any one of you traveled with NICOP. I have also doubt if my NICOP is valid after giving up my Pakistani passport. I believe NICOP is considered as dual nationality where we can't hold 2nd passport.

Regards.

Re: NICOP and Pakistani Visa

AOA Mahmud,

This is one of the main benifets of having National ID card for Overseas Pakistanis that you don't need Pakistani visa.
Don't worry and go to Pakistan without any tensions and have lots of fun

Re: NICOP and Pakistani Visa

No, You can not go to Pakistan with NICOP. Your NICOP card stands invalid after your cancel your Pakistani nationality. NICOP is valid only for Pakistani citizen (like dual citizen).

After getting German passport, you have two choices:

1. Apply and get a POC (Pakistan Origin Card), then you can travel without Visa

or

2. Get a Visa

Re: NICOP and Pakistani Visa

sorry Mahmud,

I mixed up the POC card with NICOP. In my mind I was explaining the POC card but...

The main thing is that if you don't need to go urgently then apply for POC. The cost of Pakistan visa is in some places more than the cost of POC and this card is valid for 10 years I think.
