Hel needed : baby visa
Hi,
I am Indian living in germany. I have a son born just last week. I have done the registration in Standesamt.
We have not yet applied his passport.
Question: Are we allowed to take him to any other EU nation(Paris) before we apply for Indian passport or get his Indian passport
Please respond as soon as possible, so that I can manage my planning.

Don't think so, because he has no identity papers. I don't know how it works for India but I know a lot of people (me included) who just got the kids' visa in their mother's passeport.

As per new indian passport regulation, you have to get a new passport for the child. Apply in the indian embassy and you should get it soon as its a new born. I have no idea how long it may take.
In the past one could include the child in the mothers passport, but now its history. Atleast for Indian citizens.

Hello Rakrish,
There should be some rules for express passport issue by the Indian Embassy in Germany (something similar to "Tatkaal" scheme). In my case, I got my child's passport in India within 24h. I hope there will be similar scheme here also, only that you have to spend some extra bucks.
Cheers.

yes, you need to have visa on child's passport if you go out of country.
Other case, Foreign-office gives a temporary visa paper in case there is no-passport (Bayern). But this is valid within germany.
