Birth Certificate fee at CGI, Munich
Hi ,
Does any one know what is the fee to be paid at Indian Consulate along with a birth certificate application?
As I will send them the application by post, I would like to do a bank transfer and post my application for it.

Re: Birth Certificate fee at CGI, Munich
I misunderstood your question..
You will not get a seperate birth certificate from the indian consulate. The birth certificate issued in germany is the only birthcertificate you will get. You can only register the birth of the child and apply for a passport.

@ Raj
I had to pay 25€ for getting my Birth Certificate from Indian Consulate.
You can call Indian Consulate and ask them.

The birth certificate is for me and to fulfill the application process of Einbuergerung.
I am sure some Indians in this forum applied for one at the Indian Consulate.

Re: Birth Certificate fee at CGI, Munich
Hi Raj,
I too applied for such a birth certificate at the Frankfurt Consulate a few months ago. In the application I did clearly mention that I needed a birth certificate and furnished appropriate fees. At the end what I got sent by post was a neatly printed text on Consulate's letter-head that effectively said, the date and place of birth they have on file and on passport is the correct one.
Though the consulate accepted my application for a birth certificate, the proforma for such a certificate was never used for it's issuance.
When queried, I was told that they do not have access to birth registers in India and hence cannot issue such certificate.
I was hoping that the case worker here would accept this letter by consulate, but alas, she did not.
I wish you better luck with them.

True ..
This is only an attempt to see if the case officer accepts it otherwise will get one from India and get it translated.. no choice left then..

Re: Birth Certificate fee at CGI, Munich
In my case, unfortunately the birth certificate(consular letterhead) issued by CGI Munich is not accepted by my case worker for EB. She is asking me to get confirmation from consular that it is "vollwertig" I dont know if they do it.Any advice?
