Can a 'Beschäftigungserlaubnis'(BE)holder work as a freelancer ?(but not have NE''Niederlassung erlaubnis'')

Yes, if it is mentioned as a Nebenbestimmung on the pass, or if nothing is mentioned against it.

hello

Can you please write in detail about what you have written before. " if nothing is mentioned against it".

I also hold "BE jeglicher Art" but nothing has been verboten on my AE sticker (auflagen). AufenG § 18 applies in my case. If selbständige has not been explicitly verboten on AE, does that mean I am eligible for doing selbständige.

You could maybe work as a freelancer, but you'd have to ask at the Ausländeramt.
