Applying new Indian passport with fiktionbescheinigung
Hello all,
Iam an Indian national. Now I am running with a Fiktionbescheinigung for the next 3 months. And my Indian passport is valid till next July. I am expecting a new job contract may be for 1-2 year. So I want to apply for the new passport as early as possible. Please let me know if there is any problem in applying new passport with this temporary kind of visa. From the Indian embassy website I read that, when I have the new passport , the old one wont be valid anymore. So I wonder whether this fiktion visa will be valid with the new passport or do I have to go to visa office again after getting the new passport....or is it so complicated.. Please advice me..

Hi,
May be you just under stood wrong, only your old passport will not be valid for traveling alone. If your old passport has some visas afixed, you can keep old passport along the new passport, or you can transport your visa from old passport to new by paying small fee. Your Fiktionbescheinigung is separate from you passport. As soon you get new job you can get visa in your passport.
