Refrence letter with reason of layingoff?

Hi,
I have recieved Refrence letter from my employer,It states that I am laidoff due to no new customers orders..
I seem it a little bit bad for my future, because where ever I present it they will know that I was laidoff. Or it is common in europe to write this type of reason?

What is your suggesion in this regard?

Hi,

As of my knowledge it is not common in Europe. May be you can ask your employer for new reference letter. but I don't think it is bad coz any way you have to say reason for searching job.
