Opening a new company

Hello T7 memeber,
I wonder if some one can open a new company (consultancy) and keep the current job?. Is there any law that you can not do that?

Plus , it depends on what is written in your contract with the current employer. Many employers write a clause in the contract that you can not work/freelance elsewhere while you are working with them.

Yes, you can open a new company, but not in the same field as your current employer. If it is specified in your contract that you have to inform the company if you are taking another job or opening a new company, you have to take a no objection certificat from your present employer.
