one man company (self employed)

I would like to register a company so I could start my own consultancy.
There are many terms like GmbH, Ich-AG etc….

I want cheapest and simple option. I would just like to offer some services through the company webpage.

Which type of company I should register?
Where to go to register?
Which documentation I would require to register?
Can I just register and start my offers on webpage (so simple it would be)?

In few months I would be planning to apply for Citizenship. Can I apply as self employed (I would not have salary slips to show)?

thanks

Re: one man company (self employed)

Thanks for the info.
I would go for Einzelunternehmen.
Register and start offering my consultancy service.
Actually I do not understand the risk. I offer my services. If I get order, I serve my customer and earn money. There is no capital investment involved.
what is the possible risk?

Can I apply for Citizenship as self employed? (eg. In the case I do not get any order for few months, I would not be earning money)
Thanks
Kirn
