Customs

Hi dear all,
As we started some auto spare parts business here in Germany and was looking to get the parts manufactured in Asian countries, to do so i have following queries. Please help me to find solutions for the followings:

1. What is the customs tax I need to pay and where? How it would be calculated? According volume of the package or value of the package?
2. Where do I need to approve the parts that they are according to the company requirement?
3. Do I need to register in advance in order to get the metal parts from Asian countries to here in Germany?
4. Other than this what all other formalities one need to fulfill.
