Any info what happens if small firm fires you
Hi !
Does anyone has any info about what is the minimum time period an employee has to be notified before being fired by a company which has 6 employees. I heard there is some regulations about the time of notification.

DUnno if there are some regulations for that but normally, the notification time is specified in your contract, you have to check it.

I have a notification time of 2 months , but in our company there are only 6 employees. Is there some special regulation or law about how such an organisation can re-structure ?

Sorry, I´m not Detlef but I can orient you a little bit.
Yes, the regulations you mention do exist. But I think is not very different for 6 or 15 or 20 employees firmas. I think is less than 100 or more than 100 employees.
For restructuring personal, the company must choose employees to fire following criteria based on years worked in the company, marital status, age and childs of the employees. So, teoretically, the younger/singles/no kids employees must fly first.
But, I guess this regulations privilege also the years worked, and I´m not so sure but start from 5 years worked, so all the GC by now are out of that protection.
Two weeks ago Bild Zeitung talked about these subjects in a group of articles called "Wie sicher bin ich in meiner Job?"

Hi ! I have checked the website. But it says for smaller firm one can be fired without any special reason or time.
Or did I get something wrong ? Does somebody has a concrete knowledge ?
