going abroad for 2 years with NE

Hi, I have recently received NE but would like to go to UK for further training (skill advancement) for 2 years. Now, my question is: Can I do something to retain my NE when I come back? I heard that one can contact Ausländerbehorde and then it would be possible. Your help will be highly appreciated.

Well, for starters you can answer the following questions
1. Will you be employed in germany when you go for this training ?
2. Who is sending you for this training?
3. Will you be registered in germany when you go for this training?
4. What kind of skill advancement needs 2 years?

I think you have to get a written consent from the Auslanderamt to do something like that.

There was some talk about permanant residents being able to work in other EU countries, I do not know how far that went.
