Dual citenzinship

I need to know if I'm able to obtain a dual citizenship from Canada and Germany, I'm Canadian and I wish to move out there live and work. Yeah I just need to know if that can be done.

No, Germany does not allow dual citizenships.

Now, if you have some Jewish heritage and can show some paperwork about your ancestors being here in Germany during Hitler's regime, there might be some possibility. I would not get my hopes up too high though. Normally, you have to surrender your passport before you can get a German one.

What if my mom was born in Germany, I was told I would be able to because my whole family was born in Germany, uncles aunts, everything.
