Got Deutsch Citizenship
Hello All,
On last Friday I got German citizenship. It took exactly 5 weeks after submitting my application with all the required papers.
I have been living in Germany for almost 7 years - 4.5 years for study, 2.5 years with job.

Can you list up the documents you have submitted for the application?
Are you from an EU country?

Congrads. That is the shortest period i have ever heard of. Should be eligible for Guiness Book of World Records 
Where exactly did u apply? City/Town would be nice.

Nope.. I was told at Einburgerüngamt that in case of EU citizens the process lasts only a couple of weeks

Hello All,
Thank you very much for your congrats.
Below is the list of the documents I submitted:
i. Birth certificate
ii. Salary slip (3 months)
iii. work contract
iv. house contract
v. orientation course/integration course certificate
The place of my citizenship was in Niedersachsen. The Amt is Stadt Hildesheim. The guys there are always friendly and co-operative. I have heard the same processing time for many other foreigners from Hildesheim.
I am not from EU. I am from South Asia with Muslim religion.

you mentioned deutsche/integration course certificate.
Is it only a certificate of participation or really certificate of prufung(ZD)

It was a certificate of participating and passing Integration/Orientierung prüfung. The Orientierungs course lasts 5 days (30 hours), then on the 6th day there was a test on this. I got a certificate on the same day from VHS (Sonneberg) where I made the test.
I submitted this certificate to the Einbürgerungsamt.

one more info: the Einbürgerungsamt official has told me that I do not need any Deutsch certificate as he thought I was fluent enough in German after talking to me about 10 minutes.
