Einbürgerung: 6 or 7 or 8 Years
Hallo all experts,
I am in germany since September 2005.
2.5 Years as a Studen and till now almost 3 years as Employee. I have uneingeschränkt arbeitserlaubnis. So far I have paid 55 Rente(as i worked as HiWi in university during my study time).
after 5 months i will be going to apply for Niederlasungserlaubnis.
in September this year 2011 i will be 6 years in germany. I have read some where that as per new rules one can even get german citizenship in 6 years time. can some one please share his experience in this regard.
I have done german language course till level B1 and have passed Deutsch Test für Zuwanderer. I did not take part in OrientationsKurs. (I did my course not as part of integrationsprogram, i did it volenterily to improve my language skills).
Thanking in advance
khan

Re: Einbürgerung: 6 or 7 or 8 Years
in 8 Years is normal, but depends on the state where you live as some states do not include student time.
7 Years is possible with a Integration course. So you have to do a orientierungs course to get the Integration course certificate.
6 Years is unrealistic and unkown.

Re: Einbürgerung: 6 or 7 or 8 Years
There is a department of integration in each town and they can give you (or you can try to find it in internet as well) the language schools who are having this course. I didn't participate in the classes and studied by myself, but you can get there for free if you apply through your ausländerbehörde.
there are 250 questions and in each time 25 of them will be chosen for the test.
Good luck

Re: Einbürgerung: 6 or 7 or 8 Years
thanks all,
I have some where read that in BW they consider student time as HALF for niederlassungserlaubnis, but for Einbürgerung they consider it FULL. Now how to confirm if for Einbürgerung it is FULL or HALF.
thanks and regards

@ thekhan01
Visit the Einbürgerungamt and you will get all information's required to process the application. They will also tell you whether they will consider student time or not.

@khan
You are eligible for citizenship according to the 7 years rule only in Sept 2012. So what is your hurry now. Your aim for now should be
1. Get NE when eligible
2. Get Integration course certificate
3. Get the Einbürgerungstest certificate
and then
4. make an appointment to see if the consider the student time and apply
