Citizenship Rule for us !!!

Hallo to all,

we are in Germany from more than 7years. I am still studying and my wife is working. But my wife came here on dependent visa. My question to all of you is that when I finish my studies hopefully soon can we change our visa status like i become the dependent and my wife will be the main person for visa as she has secured a job here and then on the basis of that we apply for citizenship after one year.
