Checklist after spouse joins in Germany
hallo,
Could members help me with the checklist of things to be done once spouse arrives in Germany please. I have made the following list
1. Registration in city
2. Enrolling in Health Insurance
3. Tax card change
4. Enrolling in German Course
5. Appointment for applying/extending new resident permit
Have I missed anything critical.
I would appreciate suggestions from trust7 forum members.

No! you did the most important things, next is probaly to let her know how to move around in the city, find a medical doctor and use emergencies, you never know. My wife arrived two months ago and we went through all that

You did almost everything.
I would recommend you to find a Frauen Arzt(lady doctor) in your area and just register your wife name there. Later on if you have any health problem(ladies related, pregnancy, etc.,) then you will get an appointment immediately only if you are already registered with them.
Getting an immediate appointment with Frauen Arzt here in Germany in not so easy.
You can do this after your wife gets her Insurance Card.
