Transfering the vacation days in "offentlicher Dienst"

Hi all,

I wanted to move from one University to the other, and managd to get the contract termination through "Aufloesungsvertrag". One of the points there is "Die Erholungsurlaub und Ueberstunden sind mit der Vertragsaufloesung abgegolten". What does it actually mean?

In the information leaflet of the new employer I 've seen something like a possibility to transfer the vacation days, if I was working for the "offentlicher Dienst" beforehand. Does anybody know if this is really possible, and what is needed?
