transfer of pension funds

I think I posted this question in the wrong forum first. Reposting it here...

I have a question about transferring pension funds from Germany to the Netherlands. I left Germany in 2006 and contacted the Deutsche Rentenversicherungsbund about getting back my pension. They refused to pay it now because I am still living in EU. So, I m trying to get it transferred to my pension provider (ABP) in the NL. I requested ABP to facilitate this transfer. Now, they have asked me to contact DRB myself and find out if they are ready for the transfer! Has anyone succedeed in doing this? If so, how to proceed?
