ADAC Health insurence

Hello,
Iam planning to invite my parents from India, for that they need Health insurence.
Meanwhile i enquired with Tata AIG and ADAC in Germany.

ADAC offer looks good with Selbstbeteiligung 50,– € (per krankheit)

http://www.adac.de...cePageId=573#ank710-1

My question is:
is there anybody in this forum having experience with ADAC incoming Krankenversicherung ??

Thank you

Re: ADAC Health insurence

its not cheap from India if one has 60+ age.
Adac: 97€ for 3 mns
Tata AIG: 5800+ for 3 mns

Re: ADAC Health insurence

And let me tell you Indian insurances are like throwing money out of the window and getting 0 service

Reason - all Indian insurances Bajaj/ICICI excluded pre-existing diseases which your family might have.

Try mawista.de They are brokers for Elvia which is a good one. Additionally, you get the policy in German and English and online immediately.

And I think there is no Selbstbeteiligung

Re: ADAC Health insurence

Mawista is the broker. I take it regularly for my parents but thankfully I didnt need to use their 'services'.

Elvia/Mondial is part of Allianz group. So I guess service should be fine.

Re: ADAC Health insurence

@justdoit

I have no experience with Indian insurance companies.

Regrading ADAC i used it twice for inviting my parents. Once last year and again this yr. No probelm anywhere. Just went to the ADAC office filled the single page form and finished it 5 mins.

We took the insurance for 2 months but my parents were her only for 3 weeks. So we are charged only for 1 month and the differnce amount was credited to out account.

one advantage is ADAC is well recognised by german consualtes.

From my experience i would suggest you ADAC for hassle free process. If any problem arises, you can go directly to the ADAC office and clarify it..(not talking over some stupid telephone operator where u need to expalin ur situation for 3 different people)

Re: ADAC Health insurence

Dear all,

I am also inviting my mother for about 2 months.

I have a bit different question.

When does my mother is required to submit the Health Insurance document?
1) At the time of submission of the Schengen Visa Application (along with all the documents e.g. Verplichtungerklärung, Genuineness Declaration form etc.) at the beginning?
2)Or when she will go for Visa stamping?

Thanks

@maxl28

You need all the supporting documents in VFS itself.

Re: ADAC Health insurence

@justdoit

Thanks for your reply.

But my mother will not apply at VFS. She will apply at German Consulate, Mumbai. So I don't know will it be the same procedure or not?

Does anyone has experience with German Consulate, Mumbai regarding when to submit the Health Insurance Document for Schengen Visa Application for parents?

Thanks.
