Is there a EU Work permission for Long term German residents

Hi ,
I was trying to get myself a job in Netherlands or Belgium after having been in Germany for the last 5.5 years.
Are there any special rules that would allow me to get a work permit quicker than applying from a non-eu country.
Does the free movement of labour law apply to those like me with Niederlassungserlabnis ?

Any inputs from people with similar experience welcome.
Thanks,
AK

If you have Niederlassungserlabnis, go to ABH and ask for "Daueraufenthalt EG", with this you are able to work in many EU countries.
You can get details from the following link:

Re: Is there a EU Work permission for Long term German residents

THanks for the reply UMTS11 ,but when I had a talk with the Auslandsvermittlung Abteilung of the Arbeitsagentur ,they mentioned that though the EU suggests this should be the ideal policy, only Sweden has as yet incorporated this as a law into thier system .

This means we third country nationals who are long term residents here still have to have a work permit to start working in say Belgium .

Any one has any other suggestions on the topic ?

Thanks.
