NE Application
Is there any rule stating, when to apply for NE. Is it only possible on the day one completes 5 years. Our Auslanderamt says so? But I read from this site, it is possible before 3 months.
Please provide some links or necessary documents

It is not a problem to go exactly one day before your GC expires. They are right while saying that because they need to check whether all the documents are correct and your oral language skills and this needs around 30 minutes.
Normally it takes many weeks because of the security check and some beamters put you in the list without having to submit your NE application. Important is to clarify & confirm with the beamter whether they already put you in the security check so it is important to visit foreign office one month before to see how beamter agree on your application.

So far, I have heard about, it is 4-8 weeks in advance that you will have to apply for NE. I also had a same situation, that I too went 3 months in advance. But ABH asked me to apply 4 weeks earlier. And they gave me a Fictionbescheinigung (kind of extention for 3 months from the day of submitting application.) It took 7 weeks in my case to get NE.
I would suggest you to go again to ABH one month advance. Going at last day seems to me bit risky.

I specifically asked to ABH employee if i should come one month before the end of my GC. She said it is not at all required and i must come on the last day.
But in my case she kept (only) the letter given to me by my employer stating about my unlimited work in germay.
She told me that there is some document required from Arbeitsamt about me which she would get. I am sure if she would start the process of getting that document when i visit her OR she has already started it.
Does anybody know whats happening??

Hallo every specialists,
Mein GC ends on 30.08.06, and I entered germany on 03.09.01, got Aufenthaltserlaubnis on 10.09.01.
That means I stayed in germany 3 days less than 5 years, and processed AE 10 days less than 5 years.
I have already a unlimited contract.
Is it possible for me to get NE now?
Please give me your advice!

I entered in Germany in October 2000 and got my NE in August 2005 (damn, nearly a year now, time is going fast...), so I got my NE 2 months before accomplishing my 5 years in Germany, so your case should be normally handled.

Thank you very much for your help, Nobody.
I have called the Alien Office to get an appointment. They told me I can only go on 04.09.06 because no earlier appointment is available.
I ask him if it is ok I have no valid Aufenhaltserlaubnis from 31.08.06 to 03.09.06. He told me there is no problem at all because I have made an appointment in time.
Could you please give me an advice if I can get a temperory paper, at lease for my employer?

you had entry visa during those 10 days, visa that allowed you to work. that's sufficient

heh if they are going to reject your application or make some "shit", you will be a fool. because you have to apply for a new AE (not just to make an appointment) BEFORE your old AE expires, otherwise you will not be eligible to work anymore.
