Changing Tax class in middle of year

Hallo,

Is it possible to change tax class any time in year.

I am married and i am under tax class 3, and my wife has tax class 5, she got a job now and can we change our tax classes to 4.

Yes but related to how much she will be paid, it can be better to keep it like it is in order for her to pay the less amount of taxes in case you are the one earning more.

Two times change in steuerclass is allowed yearly.
