Waiting time:: work permit Germany for Non EU
Hi all,
As such German embassy mumbai(Non EU) says it is going to take 6 to 12 weeks.But love to know your Experience. How much time it took for you??
As such I am on 6th week for Frankfurt ,still no news!!! , As HR in Germany send me mail like..
"
we have an answer of the embassy and sent them a lot of requested papers last week"
So love to know from your Experience, How much time it is going to take??
Do embassy call you ? or send you mail??

In my case it took exactly 6 weeks. I called the German ABH from my country and followed the process really close.

What is the ABH? and how I can contact them? as I tried to look those letters and didnt get anything back!

ABH = Ausländerbehörde roughly translated as Foreigner's authorities. Every city in Germany has such an office which manages the residence and work permit of foreigners.
