Visa during unemployment benefit?
Hi all,
I have a question.
My current visa is tied to my position at this company (= non-BE visa),
and expiring in February 2011.
I'm fired recently and have to leave my company at end of May 2010.
I've been working at this company since 4 years ago, and it seems
that I'm eligible to receive 12 month of unemployment benefit.
My question is:
Can I stay and receive unemployment benefit and look for job in Germany
at least until February 2011?
My concern is:
- My current visa is non-BE > I have to leave Germany in June 2010?
If anyone of you has similar experience or knowledge on this matter,
I appreciate your sharing it with us all!

Just go to ABH and change your visa to BE as you are already working here from 4 years.
With current visa, it will be expired on the day, you are out of job.

Do you know if I should give ABH proof of employment
when I apply change of my visa from non-BE to BE?
Although I'm working until April 2010, I'm already fired.
This might be a problem...?

all it depends on ABH. They may can give a BE Visa, given your work of 4 years. or at worst can give you a 3 month visa(fiktionbescheinigung) to look for a job.
