Tenure of BE and NE visa

Hello,
Today I received my work permit approval. I will visit AuslanderBehorde within couple of days.

If the officer gives me a BE visa - what is the normal duration of a BE visa and can it be extended after the last day of visa has reached.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

There is no law which defines the duration of BE visa, it depends upon the visa officer, sometimes you get for 2 years, in some cases only for 1 year.

Of course you can extend it, if you fulfill all the requirements, like Job etc.
