Sponsor parent to live in Germany
Dear forum,
Can someone please give me info or a link that explains if I can bring a parent to Germany to live with me and my family. I have temp visa / work permit renewed each year and will have permanent residency in 2010. What are requirements.
Thanks!

never hear such immigration law that allow you to bring your parent to live with you in germany.
Maximum you can bring them to stay here 3 months.

@southsider,
as i recall, i remember a law saying that one can call his/her parents to Germany if there is none to take care for them and they are highly dependent and need personal care for their daily life. such cases are mostly supported if you are the only sun/daughter living here and none is left in hometown to take care. Consult a immigation expert. This i heard long back, so cant recall exact details/law.

call auslanderbehorde and ask whether family reunion visa is there for parent or ancestors.

It would be great if you can share the feedback you get from Auslaenderbehoerde and if you're successful in getting your parents over here...
Thanks and good luck
