"Permanent Residence" - How to maintain it?
According to the new law, if one is "highly qualified" or is earning above €85k, you can directly get a permanent residence.
In case one gets this visa, and then has to leave Germany for job purposes, what happens to the "permanent resident" status. For e.g., in UK one needed to visit the country every two years to maintain the "permanent resident" status.
Thanks in advance.

you can not be out of the country longer than 6 months, otherwise you will lose the PR. You have to get special permission to stay longer out of the country but you need good reasons to be able to do so(illness, special professional training etc..)
