Niederlassungserlaubnis for dependent
Hi All,
I have Niederlassungerlaubnis for some years now. Does anyone know after how long my dependent spouse is eligible to get Niederlassungserlaubnis after her entry in Germany ? Is it 5 years or she can get early ? If so what are the criterion ?
She has completed some pre-requisites like Integration and german course. Your expert advice is appreciated. Would a lawer help in this matter ?

Alas, it is still 5 years. But your wife will be relieved from some other requirements necessary for attaining the settlemnet permit in case you meet those requirements, such as being permitted to work or having contributed 60 months to the pension fund.

but i have heard on same forum that it is 4 years. now u r saying it is 5 years.???

Can you provide the link where it say 4 years?
Until then the 5 Years period for a normal NE is right.

hallo raj,
i tried to search the post but was not able.
but i think it was about getting german nationality. for example in my case i have unbeschränkt visum nad my wife arrived some months back she also got that visum. now after 1 year i m elligible for unbefrisstet visum but as per my knowledge my wife will not get unbefrisstet visum but as per law after 3 years from now i will be elligible for nationality as i will be 8 years in germany till then including my study time. so at that time my wife will be her ein germyn for almost 3 years and 8 months. so then after 4 months of that, i and my wife can apply for nationality together when my wife will be in germany for 4 years.
i think it wa some thing like that.
please raj through some light on that
