Niederlassungserlaubnis - Daueraufenthalt EG. Anyone got this yet?
Hey guys,
I was wondering if anyone has got the NE with the addendum "Daueraufenthalt EG". I am going there in 2 months and planning on asking for it. I was wondering if there is a precedence already.

Congrats for getting D-EG.
One question: Did they mentioned any date (gültig bis) in your new visa?
As far as I understand, D-EG & German NE are permanent residence. So there should be no dates mentioned on that.

I live more than 5 years in Hamburg, my husband is german. I have more less everything they want.
But right now i dont have a work. Is that a problem since my husband has got a good one?

I think it would be easy for you to take german citizenship as compared to NE.

I got mine in Feb,2007 from Wandsbek ( Schloßstraße 60)
I don't know where you live 
I also remember to have read from this site that someone got EG from Hamburg-Mitte.
I was the first person to apply for it in Hamburg-Wandsbek,but they should be aware about it now.
It's better to make a Formal written Application,
with photo-copies of all required Documents.
They had asked for the following:
1.Last 3 Gehalts Abrechnungen.
2.Rentenversicherung nachweis( 60 Monate)
They told me this is a must, or you don't get it.
(ask for it from www.bfa.de they will send it 2u.
click =>Meine Kontoinformation=> Versicherungsverlauf
3.Arbeitsvertrag
4.Mietvertrag.
5.Passport size photo
( will be stamped in your Passport with the EG )
But since you are married to a German, i think it's better if you apply for a German Citizenship.
I also think that they might refuse if you are currently not employed, but just go and speak with them, you never know

Hi everyone,
I applied for the Daueraufenthalt EG in April in Bonn. I received a letter from BONN Auslaenderamt on 20.08.07 stating that I should come with EUR 10 and my passport to get the Daueraufenthalt EG.
I got an appointment for 11.09.07. When I reached there the guy said sorry he can not give the Daueraufenthalt EG to me that day as there are new rules in force since the beginning of September 2007 that require you to clearly shows "Daueraufenthalt EG" on the sticker as well as "according to paragraph 9A". He said the stickers need to come from Berlin and it can take 1 week or 1 month or 3 months - he can not say. He said he will call me or send a letter when the stickers come.
Can someone confirm this?? To me it sounds like he is messing with me.

Hi Buntyster,
the information you got is correct. The new EU regulations came into force in Germany on the 28th of August but the new stamps are not ready.
But if you need this new type of visa urgently you can insist on getting the old/new 
interim sticker, which people got before the 28th of August, because this will also be valid.
If you do not need it urgently, I recommend to wait until the stamps are ready.

This is fun, actually I am planning to leave the company I am working for and do nothing for 3 months and get some rest, but I can not leave before I get the Daueraufenthalt-EG, currently holding NE though...

Thank you very much for your reply. I feel much better now.
I did ask him if he could give me the old one and he said NO as it will be illegal. He even went on to give me an example to make his point by how if I travelled to Spain, the police will stop me at the border, look at the old stamp and put me in jail etc !
Can you confirm that in the previous version, it said Niederlassungserlaubnis - Daueraufenthalt EG and in the new one it will not mentioned "Niederlassungserlaubnis" part anymore?
He did say that I can call him once a week to ask whether the stickers came or not..
By the way, his explanation was that it will come from Berlin and they have other priorities etc...like printing out passports. Although this is logical, it is still very poor performance even compared to a country like India where I come from. My father is a high ranking government official (Diplomat-Ambassador) and when I told him that it can take weeks if not months, he told me that even in India such things are printed and sent by courier within the country. And we are talking about Bonn, the former capital and not Villingen-Schwenningen.

The Daueraufenthalt EG is an interesting concept I came to know from this forum.
Now I have a work permit since 2 years now and next january I will apply for the NE under 19 a ( salary thing ).
So can I get the Daueraufenthalt EG ? any ideas .
