Moving to France with Daueraufenthalt-EG
Has anyone moved to France/any other EU country using Daueraufenthalt-EG?
I have Daueraufenthalt-EG and is planning to move to France for about 16-18 months for study purpose. I am not sure about the process involved to make this move. The French consulate says that I can get a student visa after entering the country. But French visa rules says otherwise. Many people have warned about the problems it could arise with local authorities because of the unfamiliarity with the directive rules.
Can anyone advise what "type" of visa one is eligible to get using DE-EG in countries like France?
Should I finish the visa process in Germany before the move or can I get the permit directly in France?
please share any suggestions and experiences you have had with DE-EG.

dude, I think it's better if you apply for the german citizenship if you are planning to work in other european countries. A Niederlassungserlaubnis-EG has its advantages but I'm pretty sure is a pain in the neck for what you are trying to do.
