Going back to Germany

Dear all,

I have lived in Germany for 4 years, 2 years of university and 2 years of Work. I left to the UK afterwards and I am living currently there since 2 years.

Now I am applying for a Job back in Germany.

1- Will my Arbeitserlaubnis visa be easier this time to get?

2- Are there any major show stoppers to receive such a work permit I or my new company need to be aware of?

3- What is the minimum Salary I need to receive to have an "unberfristet Arbeitserlaubnis"?

Many thanks in advance,

Re: Going back to Germany

It is as good as a fresh application for a new work permit.

If your company provides a good cover letter that you have studied and held a work permit after undergoing checks in the EU labour market, it makes your case stronger.

About EUR 86000 +/- 1000 for unlimited WP.

Re: Going back to Germany

Just to add above 86K should be basic pay and not bonus or benefits inclusive.

Re: Going back to Germany

Many thanks for your input!

I have another question:
In case my salary will be below the 86000€, will my previous years be counted for receiving my permanent WP? For example, will I have to work only 3 years to get my permanent WP or do I start from the beginning and need another 5 years to receive my WP?

Many thanks in advance,

Re: Going back to Germany

george1980,
You will be treated as a fresh new migrant and have to wait for 5 yrs to get a permanent resident.
