hi Guys !
have any one of you completed the 5 years of time of the Germany Green Card?. If so did u get the extension work permit or the VISA to stay and work in Germany?.
what is the procedure for this ?
when can we realy aproach the Ausalande behorde for geting the extension (how many months before the Green Card gets expired)

the 1.st greencard was given in august 2000 , so I don´t think that there are greencards that have expired.
Concerning the extension of the visa, Detlef is trying to find a professional solution for that. (see http://trust7.com/...tion/gc_nach_5_jahre)

Two days ago, I went to the Auslanderbehörde in Berlin for
an 'Anmeldung'. They told me that I must come there 6 weeks before as the Green Card to expire in order to get a PR.
If you don't come, you will receive an invitation from them in order
to discuss your status and intentions.

Hopefully , my country will join EU in 2007. So, I don't think that is a preferencially treatment.

As said, as nothing is yet known on the whereabouts and the how things has to be treated on this matter, we will have to wait and see.
But I think as one of the people who have been on this game since the beginning (got 11 months left on my GC), I will share what will happen to me in this matter as they will be occuring.
