Arbeitserlaubnis für Ehefrau
Hello everyone,
My wife is here since end of february 2008 and will probably get a residence permit next week.
I'm here since september 2004 and will get a extension of my residence permit next week with an unbefristete und unbeschränkte Arbeitserlaubnis.
What does the law say that can be applied to my wife, in case she wants to search for a job after getting the residence permit. (She has a B.A. and Master degree from an American University abroad)

She will get the EG, but dependent on your visa. No worries, she can work from day 1 she gets the visa and no permission from Arbeitsamt is required

Erwerbstätig gestattet means she has permission even to open a company of her own.

Nobody mentioned anything about NE here!
What I will be getting tomorrow is an extension of my Aufenthaltserlaubnis and a change of the Nebenbestimmung to an unlimited work permit.

Mission accomplished.
The length of the extension that I got is till the end validity of my passport which is 19.08.2009.
The exact text on the opposite page on the passport is:
Jede Beschäftigung erlaubt. Selbständige Erwerbstätigkeit nur mit Genehmigung der Ausländerbehörde gestattet.
Hopefully I won't be needing another extension next year before I apply for NE.
Any ideas about that?

You wife will get the following:
*** Gebunden an den Aufenhalt des Ehemannes.
*** Selbständige Erwerbstätigkeit nicht gestattet.
*** Beschäftigung uneingeschränkt erlaubt.

I'm sorry if this is running on 2 different threads now, but I found out this thread after I posted the other one.
My wife received her residence permit with Erwerbstätigkeit nicht gestattet.
Is this normal? What can we do now?
